Bronzite is formed when liquid magma from a volcanic explosion cools down and transforms into igneous rock. During this cooling down period, silica acid bubbles shift from being a gas/liquid into a solid compound. Trace amounts of magnesium and iron within the silicate determine which type and colour of silicate mineral is formed. Bronzite is the brown variety of Enstatite. All Bronzites on the market are natural, enhanced only by tumbling, cutting, and polishing.
Metaphysical & Healing Properties
This grounding stone assists in keeping one consciously aware of what drives our reactions and whether we are responding from a place a integrity or from our old fears and allowing our fight and flight responses to take control of our emotions and ultimately our perceived reality. This stone helps one to work from a space of love and balance as we become more fully aware of our divinity. It’s also known as a dispeller harmoniser and can be used for dispelling all manner of fears and anxieties. This is a ‘fire’ nature crystal and this element helps one to activate creativity and take action. This stone helps in situations when you feel overwhelmed, assisting you to remember your power and promotes self confidence and composure. Good to meditate with as it brings about a feeling of calmness and tranquility. Also used as a protective amulet or talisman. Used by shamans as a guiding stone.
On a mental level, it assists one in dealing with ‘difficult’ people and situations. It reminds one to act with courtesy as well as to be decisive in our actions.
Physically it is said to assist with pH balance and promotes absorption of iron and other minerals.
Harmonizes/Combines with Analcime, Maori Greenstone, Fire Agate, Aegirine, Black Tourmaline, Cookeite, Kimberlite, Tantalite. For grounding use it with Black Obsidian, Black Spinel, Black Diopside or Black Tourmaline. For stress use it with Amblygonite, Lilac Lepidolite, Lithium Quartz and Holmquistite.
History
Bronzite is quite new in the metaphysical world, hence there are no historical references to it being used for its powers and it wasn’t really used decoratively either, even though it is very striking when cut and polished.
