Mookite consists of the remains of tiny organisms known as radiolalaria deposited in their millions as sediments in ancient sea beds.

Mookite is a visually striking gemstone found exclusively in one location, in the area close to the Kennedy Ranges near Gascoyne Junction, in Western Australia
The name Mookite is derived from the location it is most commonly found Mooka Creek on Mooka station a large sheep grazing property.
Mookite has been highly prized by the Aboriginal people native ti Australia and is known in their culture as a Mother Earth Stone, which has a deeply spiritual connection to earth.
Aboriginal people used this stone as a medicine in treatment of various alignments.
Mookite is considered to be a part of the Jasper Family used for thousands of years by humans.
The word Jasper is derived from the Greek word “iaspi” meaning spotted stone the name is also related to Hebrew “jashpeh” and Ancient Assyrian “ashpu”.
Jaspers were been known and was used by Ancient Cultures as far back as 7000 years ago,The stones were valued and prized by Egyptians they used this gem in priests amulets engraved with quotes from “The Book of the Dead”.
