Other Descriptions: Rose Quartz is created when liquid magma from a volcanic explosion cools down and transforms into igneous rocks. During this cooling down period, silica acid bubbles shift from being a gas/liquid into a solid compound. Trace particles of iron, manganese, or titanium within the silica acid give Rose Quartz its pink colour.

History: Archaeological evidence shows that Rose Quartz was used to make jewellery since 7000BCE. The oldest known example are Rose Quartz beads found in Mesopotamia (Iraq). Native American tribes occasionally carved amulets out of Rose Quartz, which they referred to as the “love stone.” The tribes believed that Rose Quartz helped to balance the emotions.
